This pendant features a circular pearl coin and raw jade stones set on a copper-plated clamrose shell. It is suspended from an adjustable leather cord.
This striking talisman began as a sustainably reclaimed clamrose shell. The stones are set in copper and arranged to balance their beauty and energies. Through the process of electroforming, the shell and stones were coated in a layer of graphite and processed through an energy-charged acid bath for over 10 hours to achieve a thick coating of pure copper. It is subsequently hand oxidized and sealed in a two-step wax and polishing process to reduce tarnishing and preserve the existing patina.
How to care for sculptural copper jewelry: This item will continue to age over time, developing a rich patina with wear and exposure. Remove your jewelry prior to sleeping, bathing, exercising, or cleaning. This piece has been sealed with a two-step wax and polishing process to prevent wear and discoloration. Gently wash with water and diluted soap as necessary. Harsh chemicals can damage gemstones, remove patina, and wear away the protective polish coating. Jewelry should be stored away from sunlight and heat. Copper is a low-allergic metal and should cause no harm during contact with your skin although discoloration may occur if the protective coating is damaged. Do not wear on bare skin if you have a copper sensitivity.
